Drawing of cloth doll faces the easy way

This is a wonderful feeling when you finally finish your doll of couture. She is so cute, his coat is just adorable and his hair is exactly the way you want it. It is just perfect! The only thing to do is to draw his face.

It is part of the doll making can cause anxiety most among officials of the doll, but following a few "simple" rules you can confidently for a magnificent face each time.

Always begin with the face of your doll, drawing on paper. The characteristic practice of your doll that you have the good proportion and position of positioning.

Fun to experiment with different styles and observe those around you. Babies, children and the characters in children's books often have cute features, which can provide the source of inspiration.
I encourage to use your imagination to customize your doll and make it a legacy "one of a kind".

On a sheet of paper, draw a shape similar to the head of your doll size.

Slightly to draw a line horizontally and vertically through the centre of the "face".

Look in the mirror and you'll notice that your eyes are about to halfway between your chin and the top of your head. Mark the centres of the eyes on the horizontal line a distance equal the median line. By placing the face slightly lower eye, your doll will be a younger appearance.
Divide half less of your face in third and mark a small point on the midline at these locations. This will be the positions of the nose and mouth.

Then, you will need to choose the face style you want. The style you choose should fit the character of your doll. A doll of naive style will have a much more simple than a more formal doll face.

Experiments with different forms for each feature of the face. You would like to can try round eyes and oval eyes, with or without the eyelashes and eyebrows, a small button or a right nose and different sizes and forms of hearts or smiley u all forms of your mouth of dolls. A few dolls look superb with two tiny "commas" for the nose instead of a nose. The styles you try it will be easy for you to choose a face that truly completes your doll.

When you are happy with the style, size, shape and positioning of all of the features of the face of your doll, it is time to add some colors to wear your doll to life.

Pigma micron 01 made by Sakura are the mark of a pen, I prefer. They are waterproof and fade to the evidence and they contain archival pigment ink. They are also available in a range of 6 colours. Artist Derwent pencils also provide a high quality finish in the face of your doll, and you can buy them individually in your favorite colors. If you plan to continue the doll making then buy good quality pens and pencils to complete your doll is an excellent investment.

Choose the colors the eyes, mouth and plays to complete your doll. Use the black pen to draw the eyes and eyelashes, the pen to draw the eyebrows and nose Brown and either Brown or red pen for the mouth of your doll. Be careful when you use drawing pens, they have a very leading edge always take upright position (not tilted) to avoid damaging the pen tip.

Before adding the color pencil to your doll with different means experience, you can apply it. You can get many different effects using a more specific or more blunt pencil. You should also try with the pencil and the point. A good way to add shading is to apply the color to a scrap of paper or calico and carefully rub this area that you want to color. Build color gradually in layers up to that obtain you the desired appearance. Remember that it is easier to add a little more colour instead of trying to delete it. It is also a good idea to keep track of the colors that you used, just jot down the names of colors and special techniques that you may have used to implement alongside your diagram as a reference for future use.

Once you are fully satisfied with the new face of your doll, it is time to pass on the fabric. However, before taking the final step, it is a good idea to practice once more just to make yourself comfortable with working on the fabric. The slightly uneven texture of the fabric will make a difference when you draw the face and colours may have need adjust function.

Place a piece of cloth in an embroidery hoop and follow the steps listed above, once more. Once you have added all the features of your doll for the fabric and you are satisfied it was just the attitude and the expression you are trying to reach while you ready complete your doll!

You should feel completely at ease now apply your doll face!
